Can Deniz Bezek

I am a Ph.D. student in the Department of Information Technology at Uppsala University. I am working on ultrasound imaging, particularly speed-of-sound imaging with conventional ultrasound transducers, under the supervision of Professor Orcun Goksel. My research interests include computational imaging, deep learning, ultrasound imaging along with its clinical applications.

I received my B.S and M.S degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU). During my master's studies, I worked with Associate Professor S. Figen Oktem on developing novel, fast, and efficient deep learning-based unrolled reconstruction methods for various computational imaging modalities, including spectral imaging.

In my free time, I enjoy playing football and exploring new places.
